How to use it
- Replace the examples with your measurements or exact product coverage.
- Choose the unit beside each input. Changing the unit converts the existing value.
- Choose any allowance deliberately, calculate, and check the purchase units.
Formula
Approximate units = net wall area ÷ [(brick face length + joint) × (brick face height + joint)]. Add allowance and round up.
Worked example
10 m² ÷ (0.225 × 0.075) × 1.1 = 651.852; round up to 652 bricks.
Common mistakes and limits
Single face modular-area estimate, not a bond layout. Does not calculate wall thickness, structural capacity or mortar. End joints and cuts change exact counts.
Do not add allowance twice. Example coverage, density and prices are illustrative, not a specification for your project.
Frequently asked questions
Which brick dimensions should I enter?
Use the visible face length and height. The model adds the entered joint width to each.
Is this an exact brick bond plan?
No. It is a modular wall-face estimate; edges, cuts, openings and bond layout can change the final count.
Are my measurements sent to a server?
These calculations run in your browser. This calculator does not send the input values to our server. Normal page requests can still appear in hosting logs.
