How to use it
- Replace the examples with your measurements or exact product coverage.
- Choose the unit beside each input. Changing the unit converts the existing value.
- Choose any allowance deliberately, calculate, and check the purchase units.
Formula
V = π × (internal diameter/2)² × length. Litres = m³ × 1,000.
Worked example
0.1 m internal diameter × 10 m length holds 0.0785398 m³, or 78.5398 L.
Common mistakes and limits
Full circular internal bore only; excludes fittings. This is storage volume, not flow or pressure design.
Do not add allowance twice. Example coverage, density and prices are illustrative, not a specification for your project.
Frequently asked questions
Should I use the outside diameter?
No. Use the internal bore, because only the internal space contributes to capacity.
Does volume tell me the flow rate?
No. Flow and pressure design require separate information and qualified assessment.
Are my measurements sent to a server?
These calculations run in your browser. This calculator does not send the input values to our server. Normal page requests can still appear in hosting logs.
